Travel Insurance

Travel insurance is one of the best things you need to do on your way. You never know what might happen and most health insurance plans do not cover you while traveling. Travel insurance covers not only any injury or illness, but also the things you take on the road, any accident that may happen or the trip may be canceled. It’s not just about being able to see a doctor on the street - it’s about making sure that if you lose your camera, you’ll find a camera at no cost.

Why travel insurance is needed/covered:

  • It protects you if you get sick and need to see a doctor.
  • It covers accidental Death & Dismemberment.
  • It covers you if you need to get the helicopter out of nowhere.
  • It covers you if you need to send it home.
  • It covers electronics or other items that could be broken or stolen.
  • It covers if you want to cancel your trip.
  • It covers flight delays and cancellations.
  • It covers trip Interruption.
  • It covers lost/stolen Luggage.
  • It covers rental Car Coverage.
  • It covers hotel/cruise Ship Protection.
  • It offers affordable and peace of mind!
  • It's simple and get it online.
  • If something goes wrong, it saves thousands of you!.
For just a few dollars a day, the smart and frugal move is to make sure you don't run out of extra money after something goes wrong . However, a good budget traveler is a smart budget traveler.

What Does Travel Insurance NOT Cover?

Travel insurance covers most travel emergencies and injuries. But it’s important to know what is not covered by your insurance plan. They are
  • Participating in extreme adventure activities such as hang-gliding, paragliding ,sky-diving, scuba diving, bungee jumping, heli-skiing and more where accidents sustained.
  • General check-up.
  • Negligence or Carelessness.
  • Alcohol- and drug-related occurrences.
  • Stolen cash (unless more comprehensive plan).
  • If civil instability makes your destination unsafe unless your government calls for it to be removed, you probably won't qualify for the removal (unless you have more advanced coverage ).
  • Changing your mind about your travels(such as unfriending or breaking up with your travel partner) will disqualify you from trip-cancellation coverage.
  • If your visa is denied at a destination, you will not be paid if you decide to cancel your trip.
  • You didn't provide documentation for your trip cancellation reasons and expenses.
  • Urgent evacuation (due to injury or natural disaster).
  • Dental emergencies.
  • Medical travel(such as surgery fees).
  • Death overseas.
  • Pregnancy.
  • You didn't see a doctor before canceling your trip because of illness.
  • You purchased travel insurance when a big storm was already on the horizon.
Travel insurance seems to be just another expense that will exceed your budget. But it can also save you thousands of dollars if you make a mistake on your trip. Here's what you need to know about buying insurance as a traveller to help you stay safe on your next trip.
